From the first body bracket to the last question

Before the first mark

Students arrive a few minutes early. Coats go on the rack; phones stay face down. Choi Sanho hands out the evening’s sheet from the candle pack and names the single timeframe on the page. There is no opening lecture about markets in general. The sheet is the subject.

Quiet marking

The first twenty-five minutes are silent. Each student brackets open-to-close ranges, ticks highs and lows, and writes only measurements. Pattern names are forbidden until Choi rings a small copper bell. The rule exists so a neighbour’s confident label cannot travel across the table before anyone has measured.

Comparison without borrowing

After the bell, pairs compare brackets. They may point. They may not copy. Han Yebin, on evenings she sits in, walks the aisle and asks for the prior bar whenever someone reaches for “engulfing” or “rejection” too quickly. Corrections are written in a second pencil on the student’s own sheet.

19:00	Sheet issued, timeframe named, quiet measuring begins.
19:25	Bell. Pair comparison of bodies and wicks only.
19:50	Pattern and price-action labels attempted, then challenged.
20:20	Short break. Tea on the sideboard. Sheets stay on the desk.
20:35	Second pass on the same sheet, or a related sheet from the pack.
20:50	Closing questions. No forecasts. Bags packed by 21:00.

What the evening is for

The desk exists to make candlestick reading and price-action marks slow enough to defend out loud. It is not a place for order tickets or for watching a live screen together. If that pace suits you, read the atelier outline or ask for a seat.
